pin it real good.

ok. new addiction alert time.

i am kind of obsessed with pinterest.

the girls at work got me started on it. it's essentially a place where you can be cruising a website of any sort (the demographic tends to be fairly cute/clothing/crafty/party), and essentially tag ("pin") a photo to various categories ("boards"). it's a completely fast and easy way to create your own inspiration boards, as well as follow other boards that you like and then you can repin THEIR pins. and for me, it's a quick way to pretend that i'm blogging (not that i'm giving up on you.), or at least quickly save ideas that i want to blog about.

i believe you need an invite to be able to pin, so let me know, and i'll hook you up.

but here are my warnings:
warning #1:
i have literally stayed up hours past my bedtime pinning. it's addicting as hell. especially when you find other pinners that you like, and then you're going through their thousands of pins, and before you know it, the sun is coming up. (not really, but pretty damn close.)
warning #2:
iphone app, coming soon.

check it.

smile at strangers.

i don't want to become one of those bloggers that simply posts images found on other websites and blogs, but to be perfectly honest, i kind of can't help myself. when i find things i love, i drag them into a file on my desktop that i frequently visit, causing me to smile.

so, now i will share. it is also a good quickie blogging option for a 8-hour-day "part-time" job gal like myself.

this is truly how i feel. and what i try and do every day. i may forget to dress my best as i run out the door to work, but the rest i make sure i do. everything from making eye contact with, greeting and thanking my bus driver to making sure that i am attentive i can be at work and home, and letting my mom know how much i love her, i try my best to live by these rules. i would say that it's a pretty good list to live by.

also, i think that you should listen to a guilty pleasure song on a daily basis.
an instant pick-me-up.

(because of my casual system, i have absolutely no idea where so many of these images come from,
meaning that i can not properly credit the artists. i apologize to all for that.)

done right.

while cruising around the blogosphere, i came across the card society
it is a "card-a-month" stationary club that sends its members two hand-letterpressed cards a month, both exclusive and never-to-be-printed-again. this will most certainly be a new subscription of mine.

on their website you can find the past months' cards, and i have quickly fallen in love with both the concept of the shop as well as the cards themselves.

i am someone who very much appreciates well-thought-out and beautifully conceptualized ideas, especially when it comes to small businesses. i strongly support beautiful stores, though typically over-priced and unnecessarily frivolous. small details like pink shopping bags, free temporary tattoos, creative floor coverings, impeccable packaging and unexpectedly shaped business cards are all reasons i go to various shops around san francisco.

as someone who dreams of their own well-done business, i pay impeccable attention to detail in all the things i do. when my business does materialize, you better believe that i'll have creativity shooting coming out my ears. i can't wait until that day comes.
